The restaurant is one of many located in the "Mailbox", a huge and upscale shopping/eating center located right in the city center. Red Peppers serves Mediterranean food and while the menu is definitely more hearty than healthy, it's big, diverse, and presents a decent number of options for light eaters. The décor is contemporary, bright, colorful and lively. For those looking to keep things light, you may want to consider one of the more sensible appetizers (e.g., spring veggie soup, red pepper hummus, or Indonesian chicken skewers, ) combined with a large salad (Nicoise, Caesar, or goat cheese). Other menu highlights include the calamari puttanesca, Thai chicken burger, grilled salmon with cous cous, bbq ribs and chicken, a dozen pizza selections, and 6 different pastas including penne with Cajun chicken in a tarragon and tomato sauce with mushrooms and red peppers.
